SEASONAL-TO-DECADAL CLIMATE PREDICTABILITY IN THE MEDITERRANEAN: PROCESS
UNDERSTANDING AND SERVICES (MEDUSSE).
The COST Members through the present Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) wish to undertake joint activities of mutual interest and declare their common intention to participate in the COST Action, referred to above and described in the Technical Annex of this MoU. The Action will be carried out in accordance with the set of COST Implementation Rules approved by the Committee of Senior Officials (CSO), or any document amending or replacing them.
The main aim and objective of the Action is to create a reference, open and independent network of experts on Mediterranean climate variability, predictability, prediction and application at seasonal-to-decadal timescales, with a scientific challenge (improve climate knowledge) and a societal challenge (improve climate information) to be addressed in tandem. This will be achieved through the specific objectives detailed in the Technical Annex.
The present MoU enters into force on the date of the approval of the COST Action by the CSO.
