Istanbul Training School 01.06. - 03.06.2026
Training on climate variability, predictability, prediction and services at seasonal-to-decadal timescales in the Mediterranean.
It will take place at İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi (İTÜ), Türkiye.
Aims:
(i) to continue training national hydro-meteorological agencies in the Mediterranean.
(ii) discussing state-of-the-art and identifying knowledge gaps in climate research and application.
In this Training there will be plenary-discussion sessions in the mornings, with a more institutional focus on big european/international projects and initiatives; and technical-scientific sessions in the afternoons.
Output: promote understanding and use of seasonal-to-decadal climate forecasts in the Mediterranean.
